Jurassic World Dominion Movie Story
Once-extinct dinosaurs are now free to roam the Earth four years after the Lockwood Estate disaster and the Isla Nublar volcanic catastrophe. In the midst of international efforts to regulate them, Biosyn Genetics creates a dinosaur preserve in the Dolomites of Italy where it carries out genomes research, purportedly for medicinal uses.
Owen Grady, a companion of Claire Dearing, assists in the relocation of wayward dinosaurs while the trio of Franklin Webb, Zia Rodriguez, and Claire Dearing look into unauthorized dinosaur breeding facilities. Claire and Owen discreetly care for 14-year-old Maisie Lockwood (Benjamin Lockwood’s biogenetic granddaughter) at their cabin in the Sierra Nevada Mountains while guarding her from anyone attempting to take advantage of her special genetic makeup.
Beta is the name Maisie gives to the asexually reproduced hatchling that Blue, the Velociraptor Owen reared, brings to the cabin. Maisie snuck away to explore since she is getting increasingly unhappy with living alone. Beta is captured and Maisie is taken hostage by mercenaries who are looking for Maisie.
Meanwhile, swarms of enormous locusts are destroying American crops. Dr. Ellie Sattler, who is no longer wed, notices that crops planted with Biosyn seeds go uneaten, which makes her wonder if Biosyn is to blame for the insects. Ellie delivers a captured locust to Dr. Alan Grant, a paleontologist and ex-partner. They conclude that the locust was created by genetic engineering using DNA from migratory locusts today and arthropods from the Cretaceous period.
Franklin tells Claire and Owen that Maisie might have been brought to Malta while working for the CIA’s dangerous-species section. When they arrive, Claire and Owen join Barry Sembène, a French Intelligence raider who was Owen’s former Jurassic World coworker, infiltrating a dinosaur black market. During the expedition, carnivorous dinosaurs are let loose and cause mayhem. Compassionate cargo pilot Kayla Watts volunteers to fly Claire and Owen to Biosyn after learning that Maisie and Beta were brought there.
Currently employed with Biosyn is chaotician Dr. Ian Malcolm. After communications director Ramsay Cole forewarned him of Dodgson’s illicit practices, he asked Ellie for assistance in exposing CEO Dr. Lewis Dodgson. Dodgson uses dinosaurs for his own gain and forces Dr. Henry Wu, a former InGen geneticist, to alter the transgenic locust in order to give Biosyn control of the world’s food supply. The proposal, according to Wu, will lead to an ecological collapse as the locusts spread unfettered.
Wu introduces himself to Maisie and reveals that Dr. Charlotte Lockwood, the late Benjamin Lockwood’s daughter, replicated her own DNA to create the genetically identical Maisie. Maisie’s DNA was changed by Charlotte in order to stop her from inheriting the fatal condition that she had. Wu thinks the DNA and asexual conception of Maisie and Beta will be crucial in developing a disease to stop the locust outbreak.
In Biosyn’s airspace, a Quetzalcoatlus assaults Kayla’s aircraft, forcing Owen and Kayla to make an emergency landing while Claire is ejected. The three come together following separate encounters with a Therizinosaurus, Pyroraptor, and Dilophosaurus. Ellie and Alan receive clandestine guidance from Ian and Ramsay within Biosyn regarding where to find a locust DNA sample. They run across Maisie while looking for the lab. When Dodgson finds the breach, he tries to burn the locusts to remove the evidence; however, some of them manage to escape via an air vent, starting a wildfire that spread throughout the preserve.
Before spotting Ian, Alan, Ellie, and Maisie barely managed to leave the building. When they first encounter Owen, Claire, and Kayla, Ramsay later joins them. Dodgson uses a hyperloop to escape while carrying dinosaur embryos, but as the power is diverted, he is stuck and is eventually slain by three Dilophosaurus. As the group cooperates, Owen catches Beta with the assistance of Alan and Maisie. When a Giganotosaurus and the seasoned Tyrannosaurus from the first park engage in combat with assistance from the Therizinosaurus, they and Wu flee in a Biosyn chopper.
Before testifying alongside Ian and Ramsay against Biosyn, Ellie and Alan revive their romance. When Owen, Claire, and Maisie get home, Beta and Blue are reunited. Wu unleashes a pathogen-carrying host locust that progressively wipes out the swarms. The United Nations designates Biosyn Valley as an international dinosaur sanctuary as dinosaurs and humans adjust to their new coexistence.
